Last weekend, I was headed to my girlfriend’s house for a wine night when I thought, “maybe I’ll just whip up a sandwich!” But this couldn’t just be any sandwich, I was craving some very specific ingredients – those ingredients being burrata, prosciutto and arugula. I also knew we had an evening of drinking ahead of us, so I wanted to display those ingredients on a thick and delicious French baguette.
I did in fact, commandeer my friend’s kitchen to throw it together, and the results were chef’s kiss! Lucky for me, my friends did not question my bizarre actions and rather celebrated my creation as we enjoyed it split into three! So next time you’re craving some carbs, treat yourself to this Prosciutto Burrata Baguette Sandwich! I promise this delicious recipe will fulfill all of your wildest sandwich dreams.
Everything You Need to Make a Prosciutto Burrata Baguette Sandwich
Below are the simple ingredients you’ll need to make this scrumptious sandwich!
- Bread: I used a fresh “take and bake” French baguette loaf for this sandwich. Of course, you really can’t go wrong with any kind of bread since the fillings are so good, so you can use whatever you want!
- Fillings: The fillings for this sandwich include creamy burrata cheese, thinly sliced prosciutto, fresh tomato slices and a handful of arugula.
- Olive Oil, Salt & Pepper: Make sure to top your ingredients with a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle of sea salt and cracked pepper!
How to Make a Peach Panzanella Salad
- Bake & Cut Bread: If using a “take and bake” loaf, bake bread according to packaging instructions. Once cooled, slice baguette in half using a serrated knife.
- Assemble Sandwich: To assemble the sandwich, layer bottom baguette slice with prosciutto, followed by tomato slices. Pull apart burrata over top, then drizzle with olive oil, salt and pepper. Finally, add a handful of arugula and top with other baguette slice to finish.
- Slice & Serve: Slice your sandwich in halves or thirds and serve immediately or refrigerate for several hours before serving.
Serving a Crowd
You can certainly double this recipe to serve more people, and even cut your sandwich up into smaller pieces for an appetizer-style meal.
